  • Colorectal carcinoma: evaluation of innovative prognostic/predictive markers focusing on early invasive tumors (pT1); diagnostic improvement within colorectal screening programs.
  • Breast and gynecological tumors: assessment of novel prognostic and predictive markers, molecular characterization of breast carcinoma and of neoplasms of female genital tract focusing on the role of steroid hormones receptors, Ki67 and tumor microenvironment.
  • Central nervous system tumors (CNS): evaluation of innovative diagnostic tools; assessment and validation of histopathological and molecular prognostic markers in primary and secondary CNS neoplasms; characterization of the role of tumor microenvironment in tumor development and progression.
  • Melanocytic neoplasms: prognostic factors and molecular profiling of melanocytic tumors focusing on metastatic melanoma.
